Can anyone tell me WHEN and WHERE(particular city) in Vietnam the Ms Universe 2008 be held?

It's going to be held on July 28th, 2008 in Nha Trang, Vietnam. More specifically, it will be held on Bamboo Island where the Vinpearl amusement park & resort is located. There was a big pageant held there a few years ago. In my opinion, the location is the best place in all of Vietnam to hold the Miss Universe pageant.

By the way...

Make sure you include taking the 5-Star Express train instead of flying from Saigon to Nha Trang in your travel plans. It will cost you about $10 one way, and I guarantee that you will enjoy the trip.

I'm glad to see Vietnam participates in this type of event. It  puts Vietnam on the map in a positive way. It also attracts more tourists and a chance to introduce to the world our beautiful country.

I've been to Nha Trang when I was a child. It's a nice place.

It will be held in summer of 2008 in Nha Trang, a nice coast city, 450km North of Ho Chi Minh city.

And, not at the Bamboo island as the theater there doesn't have enough space for such a big contest like this. So now, they are building a new theater at the coast around 20km from the city center. As they're afraid of not be able to prepare all on time, they are asking for more time. That's why we haven't known the exactly day yet.

From Ho Chi Minh city to Nhatrang :

10 hours by bus, 8 hours by train ( and a 5-star-train normal seat costs 14 USD, and by air : 1 hour, 30 USD/ ticket.
