Can anyone tell me about Savings Bonds?

Question

My Granddaddy gives my daughter EE Savings Bonds for her Birthdays and Christmas's. I don't know much about them. So if anyone can explain them to me and what I do with them?? What do I do if one of them has been misplaced? Shoud he be giving her several or adding to the same accounts? Thanks!

lol, i got a 100 dollar savings bond from my 5th grade graduation (valedictorian), and they pretty much money, thatyou can't open till college. once ur in college, you can use it, but it doesn't grow that fast. in a year, a 100 bond can grow i gues 5-8 dollars.
