Can anyone tell me about living in Islington N.S.W. Australia?

I don't live there but the area isn't too bad....it's not a huge city so nothing like sydney...

buying a property anywhere in NSW is shocking at the moment, unless you're gonna rent it out.

for starters there's a bikie clubhouse just of the main street i think its the rebels! also you have junkie prostitutes standing on every second corner. the houses are really old  and run down looking.

its prob not the greatest suburb to have a family, i would sugest you look for another suburb to live, theres plenty in and around newcastle and the hunter valley.

If you mean Islington a suburb of Newcastle then I can help you out. Its an old suburb that was not particularly well lets say one of the better areas. But times are changing and it is slowly being bought up by younger people whom are renovating and revamping the suburb. It is in a great location near the Harbour and public transport which gives you easy access to the beaches. Best idea to have a look and see for yourself. Need any tips on houses hubby is a real eastate agent in that area. lol
