Can anyone tell me about tarn, france?

i will be a senior next year in aussillon, a small rural town in the tarn department in the midi-pyrennes region of france. can anyone tell me what me, a relatively normal american teen, can expect there?

  1. Aussillon is a VERY small rural town in southwestern France. The culture of the region can be described as Gascon, or Occitan (a language related to french & catalan spoken in the south. It's used more heavily in rural areas) and it sounds something like a mix of French & Italian. However, EVERYONE can speak french. But be prepared to hear a heavy accent (some people in the region trill the letter R like in Spanish, and the final E is pronounced like an A)

    Life is slower, as you would expect in a small town. If you want any exitement, you would have to go to Toulouse, the nearest Big city in the région.
