  1. if you pluck off the flower you won't get the zucchini's, so if you like fried zucchini flowers only pluck the male ones to eat.

  2. Leave them alone.  The females have what looks like a baby squash behind the flower and the male does not.  When both flowers are open at the same time..bees come a long and pollinate them.  If you have a shortage of bees...take a q-tip and get pollen from the male flower and then twirl it around the middle part of the female flower.

  3. Not sure what you asking...male blossoms have the pollen..bees are attracted to it, then to the female flower which has the fruit/seed parts. The bee pollinates the female plant with the pollen it picks up from the male flower.  Wind also helps pollinate. The blossoms fall off from the plant naturally after they have gone through their cycle

You can tell male and female flowers apart by the simple fact that the female flower has immature zucchinis attaching them to the stem.

When harvesting your zucchini, use a sharp knife to cut the stem from the rest of the plant. don't twist or pull it off, because you most likely will break something.

  4. the male blossoms will fall off by themselves.  cukes do the same thing.
