That's really cool. I would take it to a really good wine shop and ask someone about it. I live in the Napa Valley, and we have excellent shops like that were the owners are experts on things like that. For your sake, I hope it is worth a ton of money. Every year they have a huge wine auction here and you would not believe what they will sell a great bottle of wine for, like thousands of dollars.

Actually, I doubt it's worth anything.  I'm not an expert on antique wines, but this looks a bit fishy to me.  The label is in far too good condition for something from the early forties and the cork foil looks rather modern.  I checked out some pictures of the actual stuff and the cork is sealed by wax and the bottle is longer and narrower, which keeps with the traditional German bottle.   The bottle you have has Bordeaux style shoulders, not German.  Plus the picture is very different.  

I'd say there is almost no way that this is authentic and has zero value to anyone other than freaks.

Better than wine for such under-skhits, I think rope is the best you can use - not speaking about the millions of citizens of a so-called responsible country .
