Can anyone tell me all there is to know (the bad, the good & the ugly) of lip percings? (snakebites)?

The good: People will notice you.

The bad: People will stare at you.

You can't generally get a serious job with piercings on your face (and facial piercings are not protected under the EEOC, so you can't file any discrimination suit).

i had one and took it out about a year ago, i had no problem other than when i first peirced it it got a tad infected and white crusty stuff would come out and it was annoying having to clean it. Also since ive taken it out about a year ago the hole still is visible even though it is  closed
