Can anyone tell me any personal experiences with a Visual Communication major?

I'm looking into going into a Visual Communications major but I wanted to hear some opinions and personal experiences that people have had with it. Do you enjoy it? Do you not enjoy it? Any kind of information would be great. :)

if your getting into commercials and corporation internal videos you might have a lucrative career. motion graphics is also a fun and fast growing field, ie. tv show graphics, movie credits, stuff like that. seems like we need lots of people to be making entertainment video... tons of cable shows.

doing film is fun and you should really enjoy it - its the next thing since print design. Don't forget to have a good design principle and typography foundation.
