  1. well... im pretty sure the prices have rised

because we are running out of it... But its still way to expensive!!!

  2. Greed!

All  based on supply and demand.   Also there is an EU agreement that power prices are linked.  (don't know why)

  3. The price for gasoline is directly related to demand push inflation secondary to the nations of India and China coming into the middle class and demanding automobiles.  This is not a made up fiction.  It is basic high school economics and is not debated by serious economists.  I have  invested this thesis for six years.  I do not think it is a political issue.  The decision to tax "windfall profits" will add to the price of U.S. gasoline.  Most producers of products expect to make profits that are in line with their costs.  The Congress knows best?  You decide.  The people who gave the U.S. postal system, Amtrak, and most significantly Medicare and Social Security which are not self sustaining benefit programs.

  4. Oil prices rose when foreign markets started to demand more products.  Diesel is so expensive because there is a huge demand for it in Europe, Asia, and South America.  Also, worldwide oil production has peaked so unless new reserves are found, demand will outpace production.  So it boils down to supply and demand.

  5. Look in the real world.

Trace it back in the TV newsreels.

Hollering in using crude oil as WMD in the destruction of living human kind.

    Matt 27.29,37

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    What do you think?

  6. When it looked like we were headed for recession, Bush had Bernake lower interest rates- which puts more money out there- that may push off a recession, but it also creates inflation.

Oil is traded in US dollars, and with 8 years of deficit spending and the 2008 rate cuts, further plummeted the US dollar. The US dollar at a record low v. Euro. So when something loses value, people demand MORE of them for their product (oil)

That started the prices jumping, then speculators got in the action, and Bush's continued saber rattling against Iran creates further uncertainty in the market with feeds MORE into speculation

So Basically is bad policy ALL AROUND, and was totally avoidable

  7. It seems to me that the gas prices started to rise when we spent soooo much money on the war in Iraq, I mean we have to get the money from somewhere, so instead of raising everyones taxes, that wouldn't look good, the gas prices went sky high. I still believe the oil companies are in business with the government. Just my opinion.
