  1. Dew point is basically a means of measuring the amount of moisture in the air. The higher the dew point is, the more moisture there is in the air, which means it is humid outside. If you have a dewpoint of over 60, that meants is very humid outside, and a dewpoint below 20 or so means that the air is dry.

  2. The dew point is the measurement of air temp and the humidity level . When both are right it rains or snows .

  3. For a particular quantity of dry air, there is a definite maximum amount of water vapour it can hold,at a certain temperature. When this limit is reached, the air is said to be saturated. In this saturated condition, the air temperature will  be equal to dew point temperature. So,dew point temperature gives an idea about the maximum amount of water vapour, the given quantity of dry air can hold at the particular air temperature. But the quantity of water vapour which the dry air can  hold increses with temperature.

  4. The dewpoint is that point in the balance of temperature and moisture in the air, when the moisture will condense.  If you see a dewpoint value within about three degrees of the ambient air temperature you will have fog.  Fog is airborne moisture (humidity) that is condensing.  Same with clouds.
