Can anyone tell me how to connect Epson PowerLite S1 LCD Projector with comcast cable box?

The projector comes with one S-Video and one RCA composite video,is there any way i can connect the projector with my TV or Comcast cable box.Quick reply will be really appreciated.

  1. Since your projector doesn't have an HDMI input, you should run component video cables (RGB cables) from your cable box to the projector.  If your cable box doesn't have component outputs, then use s-video or composite video in that order.  Note, s-video and composite do not support HDTV resolutions, so you will definitely want to use component if your cable box supports it.

  2. Not knowing the model of your cable box, I can only speculate on the connections it provides.  I assume it has composite video outputs.  You can use those for sure.  If it has component, use that for sure as it will provide the best quality picture.  You may need to buy/find additional RCA cables to hook up component video.

  3. The Comcast cable box would have to have an RCA video out, or an S-video out. If it does, then simply connect out to in.

    If not, then you would need a converter, from the s***w type connector that your cable box has and convert it to S-video or RCA.
