  1. i use to cook speg. sq. years ago, but i only cooked it one way.

i washed it first. used a fork to prick holes all over. boiled it.

when it was done, i cut it open. used a fork to take out the long strands of speghetti. then used it with a great speg. sauce with meatballs

  3. I do it the same as cap12.  I just prick it in a few spots, and set it in a scant 1/4" water in the oven.  375-400 for about 30-45 min (depending how big it is).  Cut in half, scape out the seeds, then scape all of the shreds of squash into a bowl.  Eat with butter & salt ... spaghetti sauce ... mushroom alfredo sauce, or whatever.    It's alot easier to cut it in half after it's cooked; and the insides won't get watery...

  4. you cook them more or less the same

  6. Cut in half, put face down in 1/2" water in a casserole dish (flat bottom). Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or so. Scoop seeds out and enjoy!!

  7. At my friend's restaurant, we cut it into serving size pieces and drop it in boiling water until it is tender.
