Maybe you can got to chat rooms , get to know a  few people there to start with , see if they have the same interests as you, then when you are confident you proberbly instant message exchange e-mail addresses...you just have to take your time ,be wise and just be you ... there are to many false people about ,but im sure once you get going youll do just fine ...good luck
