Can anyone tell me how to get my family tree of genes reunited and put it on ancestry aswell?

  1. Genes Reunited allow you to "export" your tree, and this means saving it as a GEDCOM file (this is the file all family trees are converted to when they're being transferred between sites or computer.

    To do this, go to the bottom of the screen in Genes Reunited. The green strip at the bottom has a "import/export GEDCOM" bit. Click on it and follow the instructions. I don't know if you need GEDCOM reading software on your computer, but it's worth trying it even if you don't. Just remember where you save it on your computer!

    Then go to the Ancestry homepage. Underneath the part wherre you can enter your first name and surname (in the little boxes), and underneath the orange "start your tree" button, it says "upload GEDCOM", click on this and follow the instructions. It may overwrite any tree you currently have on there though, I'm not sure in Ancestry supports multiple trees.
