It's a Triton Ivory II and it's the water is coming out cold. I'm not sure whether the shower or the boiler is the problem ( I have a Worcester 28i combi) so worried about ringing someone and having to pay a call out fee then finding out they can't help.

  1. Most triton showers heat he water up themselves so you only connect cold water to them.

i would suspect that the heating element has gone hence no hot water.

If you do call someone out they should only be looking at the shower and go nowhere near your boiler as they are completley seperate.

This part can be bought, however i would expect it to cost around the same (maybe a little less) as a new shower, this new shower should just be a straight swap for the old unit and could be back on and working in half and hour or so.

good luck and enjoy your cold showers

  2. The shower is faulty it, is nothing to do with your boiler

Get a new one for £80 as it is not worth repairing a shower

  3. It's got to be the water heater.  If you can get to it yourself, listen to it and see if it sounds like it's heating up. If not, then you'll have to call a plumber.

If it's natural gas heated, look to see if the pilot light is out.  If it's electric, check if it is plugged in or if the breaker has been tripped.  If it apparently has a source of heat but is still not heating, you may need a replacement.  It's probably wise to call a plumber anyway - you probably don't want to be dealing with a water heater yourself.
