  1. I bought Bible story coloring books and inexpensive Bible story books for the pictures.

Cut out the characters from story books, making sure to allow some space around the outer part of the figure for more cutting later.

If using coloring books, color the pictures with vivid colored crayolas and cut out the figures making sure to leave space around the outer part of figure for more cutting later.

For the fabric backing, buy a small amount of thin flannel materia, then wash & dry it. Or use old worn out flannel pajamas or thin baby receiving blankets.  Steam-iron the fabric and allow it to dry laying flat.

Lay your colored pictures on the fabric to see how to arrange them most efficiently .

Remove the pictures from the fabric and lightly spray the fabric with craft adhesive, then place the pictures back on the wet adhesive coated fabric, pressing them down with your fingers. (Also see directions on adhesive label).  Keep them laying flat for 24 hours for the adhesive to fully set, then they will be ready to cut out and use for your class lessons.

I used Elmer's school glue before craft adhesive was sold  I rubbed small amounts of the glue over the paper with my fingers.  Too much made the paper wrinkle. Craft adhesive is so much better if you can afford it.

Make a flannelgraph board with heavyweight cardboard covered with good quality flannel material stapled to it. See if a church member will donate an artist easel to hold it.
