My wife does a lot of sewing-related craft work, and thinks it would be basically like sewing a sock into a stuffed animal.

1. Cut the bottom off where you want the clubhead to go.

2. Remove most of the stuffing.

3. Insert a material pouch for the actual headcover and sew the base together.

Another option... instead of coming up with an internal pouch that you've made for the headcover, use an actual headcover and cover it with the stuffed animal, then sew the base together...
