I have been useing my dads guitar to practice but I would like my own. Could anyone tell me if this is a good guitar for begginers.

You get what you paid for. This is just a guitar and trust me, at that price, don't expect mriacles.

It might have to be set since the action tend to be too high and the playability is worse. In either case, once you buy it, you will soon invest in another one.

And when you do decide, go for a Takamine . They are inexpensive, awesome sound and playability and , has a good re-sale value. They are well set at the factory and I rarely get them for adjustments. That's how good they are.

Ibanez make reasonable guitars, but it is best to actually try out a guitar before you buy it. Not all the "same" guitars, are the same, especially at the cheaper end of the market.

Absolutely not, I would not recommend this guitar to my worse enemy.
