Question:

Can anyone tell me more about twin-keel saiboats?

I'm mostly interested in the advantages and disadvantages.

Yes, I owned one for several years.    Twin keel boats have two keels on the bottom instead of one.   The are off center and come out to each side.    They were popular in England where there are large tital zones, so the boat can just sit on the bottom when the tide goes out.     Similarly, it's easy to put them in dry storage, with less need for jackstands.   The thing I loved most about it was the shallow draft which is great for sailing in places like the Florida Keys or Bahamas.   Unlike fin keel boats, they will take up more draft when heeled.    The advantage is that if you are heeled and hit bottom, you will take up less draft once you stop, but if you get stuck this way, you are really stuck.  Kedging off won't help the way it will with a monohull.    Most don't point well, but I didn't feel this was any worse than with a full keel monohull.

    I'd buy another again.
