How did it change your outlook on life? Your life as far as fitness goes? How did it increase your self discipline? Eventual career guidance, and any other important key factors or changes that it brought about. I'm looking for pros and cons hopefully.

  1. I can't answer personally, but from a mother's point of view.  My son is a Marine and his outlook on life has completely changed.  He went in as a confused teenager and now is a man.  He was a kid who never got in trouble but wasn't sure what he wanted to do in life and had a tendency to not finish what he started.  He now has drive and has a sense of self.  He is proud to be a Marine and does not want to do anything that would affect his standing with the corp.  He went in a little over weight and is now very fit.  When he was last home on leave he ran every day and will probably continue this the rest of his life.  The changes I have witnessed are incredible.  The Marines make men that care for country and family.

If you are lucky enough to be called a Marine you definitely deserve respect.  I know the training is hard but I believe well worth it.
