Can anyone tell me one problem that the government has ever fixed in the last 50 or 60 years?

Do you trust our military? That's government run.

Have you ever been to the southwestern US?  Because most of that part of the country was built by the national government (including Hoover Dam).

What about the federal government's decision to "fix" the segregation problem in many of the public schools in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s?

Surplus. They really fixed that one, now we have a gigantic deficit. I guess they looked at the numbers and concluded they weren't maximizing their spending.

Let's see. The police arrested millions of criminals, and convicted a fair number, my local fire department has kept my community safe for years.

But I'm curious. I think you are a republican... right, and this is a commentary on Democrats wanting the government to solve all problems... right?

Then I guess you are against Homeland Security, right? Didn't solve any problems, right? Or does this thinking only apply to government proposed by the other party? I suspect this is the case, but I'd be delighted if you would comment...

Let me ask,when was the last time you voted?

When was the last time you wrote a letter to your senator  or congress person?

When was the last time you turned off your T.V and put down the beer can and did something for your government?

This one time I hit a pothole on my road.  I called the DOT and they had it fixed the next day.

I can but I still hate the notion that govt can solve anything.

I do appreciate the clean air act that made LA visable from miles away and not shrouded in smog.

Bush Freed millions of muslims from tyrant control.

NASA functions OK for the most part.

The Military functions pretty well as long as the money does not dry up.

They have failed in so many other areas the list is to long to type out.

For the record I do not trust them with my health care but my security I do as long as Dems are not in charge of it.
