Hey there.. I was thinking about getting my lip pierced (lower lip, left side, and just a normal ball end stud.)

I have a LOT of questions but here a some:

1. How much would that piercing generally cost?

2. How long will it take for the swelling to stop on the average person?

3. Also, how long before I can switch the jewelery to a ring

4. And lastly, is tea tre oil face wash ok to use on or around the piercing?

Thanx sooo much!!

Btw: if your gonna say something stupid like, don't get it/ y would u do that to your face.. Then bump you..

:)

  1. Yay lip ring!

I had mine for four months and had to take it since I put a sleeper that was too small in and it ripped my lip and the skin started to heal over but man I would do anything to have it againn!

    Anyway

    1. I'm from australia and mine costed $60 so I think a good price for you would be 50 or under.

    2. The mouth is the quickest place to heal so the swelling clears up after a couple of days, just be careful not to bite it ow.

    3. Leave it around 6 weeks til you change it.

    4. Tea tree oil might be too strong. As long as you keep it away from the piercing that's ok. Wash the piercing with salt and warm water and don't drink any alcohol in the first week either. Alcohol really irritates the piercing the most so be careful with that and spicy foods.

Good luck! They're awesome just take good care of it

  2. I paid about $35 and my lip was swollen for about a week.

I'd recommend getting it pierced with a stud because of the swelling. I waited around six weeks to change it to a ring.

As for the face wash, I'm not sure. I'd say bring the bottle with you and ask the piercer. Or you can just be careful and not get it by the piercing.

  3. i have a friend with a lip piercing and i think it's cute the only thing you might want to consider is when you take it out it leaves a nasty scar.

How much it costs depends solely on where you go, but you really don't want to go off of price you have to make sure they do a good job.

the swelling doesn't take long at all to go down.

not sure about 3 or 4
