Can anyone tell me something i could take to give me energy

in afternoon i start to feel tired as iv been up from 5 work till 9 look after my mother till 3 go back to work till 6 so im lookin for something to pick me up going to work in afternoon thanks

  1. Red bull is pretty good,and I've heard there are some tablets available in boots that help keep tiredness at bay.regarde'


  2. Eat right, exercise, caffiene will help however, it's not a really good alternative..., Ijust finished a pot of coffee, needto put another one on . I'll have a soda while I wait!!!!!!!! Oh and sugar lifts you then you crash.

  4. Personally, I find the Ayurvedic herb Ashwagandha brings more endurance and focus than anything including more popular herbs like ginseng. It is believed to balance the body's systems/dosha/constitution. It's best used for short periods i.e. 3-4 days as there seems to be tolerance over time- excellent for periods of stress, recovering from illness, etc. Proper diet, and exercise are of course the foundation- if you're really interested you could research and adopt the ayurvedic diet and lifestyle habits appropriate for your constitution, there are many good books on the subject, or you may be fortunate to have a practitioner locally.

  5. you need slow burning energy like nuts and cereal. Red Bull will make you more tired later.

  6. Popping pills like ProPlus or drinking drinks like Red Bull are NOT going to do your heart any favours.

    Make sure that you get a decent sleep. Eat complex carbohydrates that have a slow release of energy into your system, rather than troughing something high in sugar which will give you a fast lift, but an equally fast crash back down.

    Get plenty of fresh air before you go back to work and make sure that you are well hydrated.

  8. Perhaps you need a women's energy multivitamin every day.  They contain extra B vitamins for energy.

    The green super food spirulina is a good energy booster and you can find further information in a web search for spirulina + energy.

  10. Any drinks with glucose/sugar/caffeine.

    Best thing is oxygen. Try to get somewhere that you can breathe deep for 3  or 4 mins. The oxygen rush should keep you going.
