Can anyone tell me that what is the standard height & width of a Chess table?

To set up a Chess table I need to know the standard height and the standard width of the table.

  1. I've given you a link to The International Chess Federation (FIDE) official handbook on Tournament Chess which documents Standards of Chess Equipment for FIDE Tournaments.

    That states that :

    "The size of a table should have a minimum length of twice the length of the chessboard and a width of 15 – 20 cm more than the chessboard. It is recommended to use tables with a minimum size of 120 x 80 cm for top level FIDE tournaments. The height of a table and the chairs should be comfortable for the players."

    There's no real universal standard for a Chess table. Even the official regulations give you a bit of leeway.
