  1. it's a very 'how long is a piece of string' question.

i'm a pretty fast cutter and i'll probably take a week to do a good job on a one hour project.

if i was rushed it could take a couple of days but if you want to just slap it together then maybe a couple of hours.

i do a 2 hour doco every year wjere i work and it will take me around 3 months of afternoons to piece it together.

    hope it helps.

  2. That completely depends on what you're editing.  Depends on the complexity of the cutting, how many cameras, what you're doing in terms of effects, what you're editing for.  Could take a couple of hours, could take months.

  3. well..first at least one hour to capture the video. I don't know if you literally have "film" or video. SO..you might have to first convert the film to video if that's the case.

Editing time...figure another hour..but that depends on how much editing you plan to do. You could have hundreds of cuts and that could take hours or 3 cuts and be done in 5 minutes.

Finally..figure at least 1-2 hours to author a DVD...assuming that's what you want to end up with.

    hope that helps...
