Question:

Can anyone tell me the best stretches for running on a treadmill?

Two months ago I was able to run at a speed of 11km/h for 65 minutes on the treadmill without stopping.

Yesterday was my first time running in over two months and I struggled to run for 10minutes at a speed of 10km an hour. I had to stop because my calves felt like stone but mentally and physically the rest of my body wanted to run for another 50minutes.

I'm looking for some stretches that would be ideal for running on a treadmill.

Thanks

  1. Any stretch for regular running, calves, hamstrings, quads, groins.

  2. Sit down, legs forward and reach for your toes

stand up and reach for your toes

stand up and grab your foot (one at a time) and put it behind your back (knee should be bent)

sit down and spread your legs (stretch left, right, mid)

sit down, feet together and push with your elbows on your knees
