Trying to avoid taxi fare but also don't want to have to walk too far with heavy suitcase. Anyone used the Airport express etc? Thank you.

  1. you can simply take the airport express. It will take you to the mongkok station. You just ahve to change trains. Look carefully.

  2. Get the Airport Expess to Kowloon Station then hop in a cab, the cab ride to Mong Kok will be about HK$20 (US$3)

Or.....Get a bus to Mongkok from the airport, about HK$20, the bus will terminate at Tsim Sha Tsui so look or ask for the TST buses and find one that goes via Sham Shui Po, Prince Edward and Mongkok on the way.

Or.....Get the bus to Tung Chung (HK$3.6) then hop on the normal MTR to Lai King, then transfer to the Tseun Wan line and to MongKok Station.

  3. you should take the Airport Express to Mongkok..I would say it is the best way because it is the fastest and convenient and less expensive than taxi ...

You can check out this link for airport express:

  4. The Airport Express train is a great way to go, you can transfer at the Hong Kong Airport Express station to the MTR Tsueng Wan line which will take you to the Mongkok station on the Kowloon side. You can also take a free shuttle bus to many hotels on the Kowloon side from the Kowloon station. The K6 shuttle will take you to a few hotels in Mongkok, if you have a lot of luggage you can take the shuttle to one of the hotels and take a very cheap and short taxi or possibly walk from there, unless your hotel is one of the one's they go directly to, check the 2nd website below.
