Can anyone tell me the hours it takes to get from JFK Airport in N.Y. to Dublin, Ireland?

My cousin and I went, but everytime we try to figure out how many hours it took, we come up with different answers. I wish now I had paid more attention on the trip. I do know there is a 12 hour time differential between here and there. I think you add an additional 12 hours instead of subtract. Ohhhh my, the confusion this question has caused. Help, somebody, anybody.

Ireland is 5 hours ahead of New York time.  The flight over there is about 7 hours.  So, if you leave at 7 at night (NY time), you will get there at 7am Irish time (the next morning).  Many of the lfights leave at night, and get there early in the morning.

I went to Ireland last year from Baltimore, MD and it took about 6 hours so I think 7 hours is a good estimate.
