  1. provideo ,i think it won 16 races in one season

  2. Chaplins Club in the 90s possibly..Seem to recall.,or late 80s.

  3. Yes, Provideo is a likely candidate although there was a 2yo beginning with S who won a similar number within a couple of seasons of Provideo. Provideo was trained by Bill O'Gorman and usually ridden by Tony Ives.

Brigadier Gerard's wins were spread over 3 seasons.

  4. Could be Brigadier Gerard,he won 17 out of 18 races.

  5. Sea Biscuit? Flat Horse? XD

  6. don`t think iv`e ever seen a flat horse!

  7. Huh! Shergar

  8. In 1856, three-year-old Fisherman won 23 races: he also won 21 in each of the next two flat-racing seasons. The post war record is 16 held by Provideo (1984) and Timeless Times (1990), both two-year-olds trained by Bill O'Gorman. The record for a filly or mare is 21 by Alice Hawthorn in 1874 and Lilian 30 years later.
