  1. i cant really give you one because they all grow at different paces but around one year he should be a little less than half his length. two years should be closing in on his total length and about 2 1/2 he'll be at his full length.

  2. It really depends on the individual's genetics and their food.  I have a 4.5 month old female that is >15" including tail...and the breeder swore that she wasn't from a German Giant line.  I got her at the begining of April and she was under 3" including tail and only a little more than two weeks old.  The local reptile store has a clutch of babies only a month younger that are still only about 5" despite proper care (this is one of the few stores that actually does everything right and where the employees know the correct care for all their animals).

I'm not sure exactly what her current weight is but she could definitely put on a few more grams-her hips are a bit too bony even though I'm feeding an appropriate amount for her size (~1.5-2 dozen fat 3/4" crickets, lots of veggies, and a dozen or so pheonix worms daily).  I'm working on trying to get her to put on some more weight.  I'm taking her to a herp expert to see if he has any idea what I can be feeding her to get her filled out properly (he has a 13 year old beardie himself which does wonders for his reputation).  She's still too small for pinkies to be safe.

I wouldn't be suprised to see her break a kilo and reach at least two feet in length, especially with my track record for pet size (ie: a healthy 25lb cat that isn't overweight or three 8" goldfish growing in a 10gal tank).  At least my cats no longer think that she's just an animated piece of string.

  3. mine grew about an inch a month, but it died after 2 :(

  4. Here's a sporadic one for a slower grower (he grew right up until the year and 1/2 mark):

    2 Days:  2 1/2 inches

    2 Months:  6 inches

    5 Months: 10 inches

    1 Year:  16 inches

    1 Year 6 Months: 18 1/2 inches

  5. This site should give you a good idea of the average size for the age of a beardie. However, remember that you never can tell exactly how anything will grow. You never know, yours could be the one that reaches a new world record for smallest or longest beardie!

  6. It depends on the individual dragon, they all grow at different rates. The genetics of the parents also come into play, as ones with the German Giant gene will grow larger than a typically bearded dragon. Also, the s*x of the dragon comes into play.

My 9 month old is approx. 14", 270g.

I noticed mine grew about 1" a month, if not a bit more. Keeping track of weight is also a good thing.

At 4-5 months, my dragon was 70g, and at 7 months she was 170g.
