Can anyone tell me wat the average pay is for working at a bar/ or as a croupier at a casino?

i'm applying for a job and it askes what pay i would like, but i have no idea how much to write as i have never worked in a bar before, or as a croupier

  1. I don't know for sure but I've worked in the industry and around $22 per hour is the minimum.

    I would ask for $25 an hour plus allowances.

    Croupier would earn much more then bar staff.

    Bar would pay around $20 an hour.

    EDIT - I worked for TAB in the Tab at the local races and got $24 an hour plus travel and clothing. We were allowed to take tips also.

TABcorp are tight.  they only pay about $20 an hour, and you don't get any penalties, or late night bonus rates, and don't allow tips across the table, and as they run all the casinos in Australia, i'd recommend against being a croup.  The money stinks, the hours are lousy, and the customers are ar5eholes.
