  1. the puberty stage that we undergo during high school has much to do with this. changes in our body also entails changes in the brain and emotions of a person. i think it is normal that we have crushes as early as elementary but having boyfriends in your second year in HS is too early.

    going into a relationship entails maturity. i don't even believe in some who would say, its not a serious relationship,were not suppposed to play with relationships.

    btw, if they ask you that again,tell them, "do i have to? i don't think i even need one." and if they tease you that you're a L*****n, prove to them you're not. relationships are not enough basis for them to say that. ignore them.

  2. In manila? oh, well they're the most straight-forward version of Filipinos because Manila IS the country's capital. Some provinces aren really conservative but overall, dont mind the weird guys...they do that to girls all the time whether you're a Filipina or not.

  3. Nothing to stress over.

    Pretty girls have been whistled at and leered at and solicited by men with no class since there was first pretty girls.  Get over yourself.

    Perhaps these girls are just doing the best they can with very limited choices and hand me downs.  Perhaps they don't have the availability and bucks for Jr Miss clothing.

    Perhaps we shouldn't judge without facts.

  4. this is a universal ritual;

    we call this cycle in life, the adolescence and puberty years

    when these weird guys approach you again, pepper spray 'em.

    i'm pretty sure they wouldn't come back asking you stupid questions anymore!

  5. well simply because filipina girls matures at early age.

  6. The clothes are pretty much an influence of western fashion. It's funny to see girls in Manila wearing skinny jeans and knee-hi boots amidst very humid weather while such outfit is worn in the west during fall season only. I think the media has significant influence to teens having boyfriend/girlfriend at an early age. Almost all TV shows and movies feature teen "love teams."  I also find it weird that almost all guys in the Philippines whom I meet always ask who and where my bf is or if I do have such. They are so direct and I do reply telling them it's a very personal question and it's none of their business and that there are better ways how to know/ask a lady if she's taken or not.
