  1. Translat............excellent answer, was going to add to it, but you have covered everything...    but it has been many years since I brought my dog over, he has now long sinced passed,

I flew my dog over via Gatwick, it was the only airport then which handled animals at the time............this was in 1982.

Had him a crate made, he was also sedated, he was less than a year old, he would have gone nuts in his box, this is advisable, check with your vet.

  2. Hi, they will both need to have all their upto date jabs and a record of them, plus within 1 month of travelling they need to have rabies jabs, then within 24 hours of travelling they need a Ministry of Agriculture certificate, which your vet will arrange. It may be worthwhile thinking of getting pet passports for them, but this tales about 6 months. Please be aware that here in Spain there is a problem for dogs with a certain type of mosquito, which bites dogs at dusk, it gives them an illness called leshmanosis, which is incurable. You can get special collars from the vets here, which I would strongly recommend as well as keeping them inside during dusk time in the Summer. Good luck in your new life.
