  1. I do not know much about it but when i bought my wide tires they kept warning me against Hydo-planing.

  2. 1. More of a chance of hydroplaning.

    2. Repairs will be higher.

    3. You can’t ride on a wider tire as opposed to the stock tire for too long

    4. It is harder to change a flat.

    5. It’s harder to work under.

  3. the unstableness could be caused by mis-matched spring and shock rates. if you got after market shocks then the shock rate would be different from your stockprings (assuming there stock) so id say get new shocks as your's could be overly warn and are sagging. once there all matched up you'll have a much firmer funner grippyer faster ride............whats not to love:)

  4. One disadvantage is they cost more.

  5. Ok. I'll try to explain the differences between wider and skinny tires, and their advantages.

All tyres have a certain amount of contact with the road. When you have a wider tyre, the contact is obviously more, in regards to tyre surface area that is making contact. With a skinny tyre on bitumen, if you corner fast, it is easier to break traction, and make them squeal due to overload. Because a wider tyre has a larger surface area making contact, the weight per square inch is less, than what a skinny tyre has, meaning that you can go faster before you overload it, causing them to squeal.

However, the opposite occurs regarding loose, or slippery surfaces. Because the weight on any given square inch of contact area on the wide trye is less, it is easier for them to lose grip on the slippery surfaces, as opposed to the skinny tyre that has more weight on it's narrower surface area per square inch.

The solution? Choose the right size tyre for the roads that you frequent, or get something in between as an all rounder.
