My family are considering moving to Lithgow nsw. I am concerned it will be cold there. Have always found Blackheath and Mount Victoria very cold and misty and I dont like the cold weather. Would appreciate an honest answer. Thank you.

  1. Very bleak and cold or stinking hot in summer. I have friends living there and unless you have lived there forever the locals are very unfriendly.

  2. Lithgow is situated in a valley, so it gets cold. It's a musty old hole that stinks of coal and has trains running through it. It snows sometimes in winter (usually only 1 day a year though).

Right now the weather is sunny-ish, a bit cloudy, and wet because there was a storm earlier today. The weather can fluctuate quite a bit, though. You get used to the cold and it's not so bad once you adapt.

There's not much to do in Lithgow and we don't have a movie theatre. I would recommend moving somewhere else in the area, like Bathurst.

  3. Very Very cold.. I lived in Bathurst most of my life and yes Lithgow is cold and its a hole. Not a lot goes on in Lithgow. Good thing is it has great train lines into Sydney..

  4. d**n cold in winter, i visited an ex there several years ago, and hot as h**l in Summer, don't go!
