Hi!!  Corfu in general is subject to some very bad storms in the autumn, especially in October. These can last up to 4 days and be very dark with torrential rain.

Otherwise the whole of the island can be very beautiful. Watch out for the mosquitoes though, use the nets, and get a coil to burnat night from the local shops.

If you want lemonade ask for "gassoser" that is like R,Whites, but their lemonade is just that, made from lemons. To say than you it sounds like FHarry stow.

No i`m not kidding. Virgin olive oil is very good and cheap if you want to bring some back with you.

its very touristy. the main street is  hotels bars and restaurants. the bars are good though. theres one called "one for the road" which is run by english people. they set fire to the floor etc and  have karaoke nights. it was good fun and i reccommend it to anyone. at one end of town there is a lovely area of curved rocks. i cant describe it but its beautiful. apart from that, theres not much there except relaxing by the pool etc. so we hired a car for three days, 60 euros. with 20 euros of fuel we travelled over most of corfu. corfu town is well worth a visit and paleokastritsa is beautiful too.

a tip. we had arranged for transfers from the airport which is one hours drive from sidari. a couple on the plane said the coach takes ages so we all shared a taxi. it cost 50 euros in total so for 2 couples it was 25 each. and it saved a lot of time. we managed to get to the bars and had a  few drinks long before the coach arrived. it was well worth the taxi fare. check the price with the driver before you get in. have fun. im sure you will love corfu and the people are lovely too
