  1. plaese email me a pic. @ jfields_2013@yahoo.com

i own 2 russian toroises and i do know that they grow fast in the begining but at 2 years he should be done growing, or should be growing very slow now. Maybe you should slow his diet because he can become over weight which is very dangerous for tortoises and life threatning.

Go to this website to see pics of overweight and deformed tortoises: http://www.tortoisetrust.org/articles/we...

  2. While there are a lot of mistaken pet species, it is unlikely that they mis-labeled this one.

The Hermann's Tortoise (Testudo hermanni) is a medium-smallish species that will hit about 8" straight-line carapace length. They tend to grow fast for a year or so, slow a little, then grow pretty steadily for the next few years to hit close to full size in about 4-6 years.

You can learn the proper care for this species at http://www.tortoisetrust.org

    Good luck!

  3. To put up pics, load them onto an image host site, like photobucket.com or tinypic.com and then copy the url provided and post here.

But you can email the pics to me, I could give it a try.

Or, here are lists of species: http://www.pettortoise.co.uk/tortoise_sp...
