My grandfather was an engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad, but no one seems to know what he made. I'm in a crunch, it's for a paper I'm writing. I searched for hours online and can not find anything that doesn't cost money or requires me to drive 35 miles away. If anyone has any knowledge I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

  1. My Dad was an engineer in 1950 for the C&NW railroad and his income was a basic $9000. He did get bonus work like for holidays and OT but 9K was the basic.

  2. Too bad about the time crunch. If you know where he lived you might be able to find the census for that year online and it should give the household income. If your grandmother didn't work, there you are.
