I found this bug in my kitchen.. it was a heavy looking flyish , Mosquito... It wasn't a crane fly. It was small like a fly but had like a stinger like a mosquito ( i am not sure what you call that blood sucking pocky thing that they have lol) it had light beighish wings and a pinkish, salmon couloured body... Had 4 legs and a stinger like i already said.. If you can also please leave a website so I can see a picture..

  1. mayfly?

  2. I can go only so far with the information you provided.  The stinger like a mosquito is a proboscis.  Mosquitoes have them Crane flies don't.  Butterflies and moths have them but they are retractable tubes for sipping nectar. Mosquitoes and other flies have two wings.  (actually they have 4 but 2 are stubs you usually can't see). One other fly the "thick headed fly" has a proboscis. Family Conopidae.  No pictures found .  there is a bee fly...
