Everyone will most likely have different interpretations of this poem! To me it suggest a higher power or a consciousness of a person doing some type of work and hoping it will succeed, but if it doesn't will the love for the work still be there?

it's basically about a Christian asking God if he will still love him if he stumbles, and he will.
