  1. very easy....

    points count.

first thing you do is put on your seatbelt

    next adjust your mirrors

then put key in ignition, instructor will want to see if all

turn signals and break lights work.be sure to tell instructor to put on

seat belt if not done already.keep hands at the 10/2 position.remember to keep one hand on steering wheel at all times.left turn hands go right over left, turn right hand goes left over right.stay as close to the speed limit as possible without going over.stay in the middle of the lane becouse most people tend to stay to the left, and you will get points taken off if you run overthe bumps.reallu practice your paralell parking and your 3 point turnes.trust me if you do this you will pass with flying colors.hope this helps

  2. Relax ..You can do this...It's just like driving with a parent...One, the examiner will not tell you to do anything illegal...The examiner will check your vehicle to make sure that the basic stuff is there and operating - lights, horn, turn indicator, brake lights (if its raining - windshield wipers and headlights), vehicle registration and insurance.

There may be a simple handling test on how well you park or brake...This is usually done on a controlled lot.

After you successfully complete the first part, the examiner will take you on a pre-planned course and just give directional instructions (e.g. 'Turn left at the next light')...Everything else is up to you - speed, proper lane, signaling, how you slow down, accelerate...No talking with the examiner except to acknowledge what you are told to do...The main thing is how well you control yourself and how you control your vehicle...If you get a chance during the day, go with your escort driver over to the DMV and follow a vehicle on a road test...That way, you minimize the surprises...Know what you have to do if you encounter an emergency vehicle flashing lights and siren - pull to the right and stop or clear the intersection.

Also, check your driver's handbook...There should be tips in there telling you in more detail what the road test will consist of.

Take your time and good luck.

  3. Practice these tips:

    Steer smoothly at all times.

Accelerate smoothly. Don't race the engine or make it stall.

Stop the vehicle gently. Start braking well ahead of where you must stop to avoid sudden “jerks.” Know where to stop.

Be aware of crosswalks. If your view is blocked at a crosswalk, move forward carefully and look both ways at the intersection..

Be sure your vehicle is in the correct gear. Don't grind the gears. Don't coast to a stop.

Always obey the posted speed limits. If needed, reduce your speed to adjust for existing weather, road, and other traffic conditions. Remember to turn on your lights if you need to use your windshield wipers in poor weather conditions.

Follow at a safe distance. Use the three-second rule. Increase your following distance in bad weather or poor visibility.

Know what the traffic signals mean and obey them at all times.

Always use the proper lane. Turn from the correct lane into the correct lane.

Signal for all lane changes and turns.

Always look for potential hazards (scan). Check your mirrors frequently. Always look over the proper shoulder before making lane changes or pulling away from the curb.

Drive defensively. Anticipate another driver’s errors.

    Starting the Vehicle:

    Adjusts mirrors

    Fastens safety belt

Knows where the operating controls are located

    Moving Forward:

    Signals

Looks in mirrors and over shoulder before pulling into traffic.

Uses two hands on opposite sides of the steering wheel.

    Stopping:

Checks traffic (sees and reacts to hazards).

Stops behind crosswalk or limit line.

Stops without using accelerator at the same time.

    Turns:

    Slows for turns.

Begins and ends turns in the correct lane.

Yields right of way when necessary.

Accepts legal right of way when safe.

    Sees and reacts to hazards.

    Backing:

Checks mirrors and looks over right shoulder.

    Changing Lanes:

    Signals

    Checks mirrors.

Checks over shoulder to view blind spot.

    Changes lanes safely.

    Maintains speed.

    Driving On The Freeway:

    Checks traffic flow.

    Times entry into freeway.

Checks mirrors and over shoulder before merging into traffic.

Signals early and slows on exit ramp.

    Adjusts speed to road conditions.
