by looking at only the top (rear of car) picture I will go out on a limb and say 1979

It is a 1979 Z-28. I own one.

Judging strictly from the photos, and assuming the body panels are mostly original, this is definitely a 78, 79, 80, or 81.  Pre-78 models had metal bumpers, not plastic bumper covers like this one has (although the front bumper cover looks like a replacement).  Post-81 models were a completely different body style.  Go to the VIN and count the digits.  If there are 13 digits, it's a 78, 79, or 80.  If there are 17 digits, it can only be an 81.  If 13, look at the sixth digit.  If it's an 8, then the car is a 78.  If it's a nine, the car is a 79.  If it's an A, the car is an 80.

open the door on the drivers side and look at the plate... it will have  a production date ---03/78 or 09 / 80  etc...  something should be there .. or the vin number can give you the answer as well.. call a local dealer and give them the vin.. you'll gat alot more than just the year of the car that way.. it could be a clone too..  parts from lots of camaros were interchangable for years !! especially those years! good luck... my guess  1980

Middle to late 70s to early 80s.  Not a lot of changes in those years so it is difficult to tell from the pictures, so I can only give a range of years they made this body style Camaro.

The best way to know for sure is to check the VIN number.

If it is a 1975 to 1980, the 6th digit of the VIN is the last digit of the year.

In 1980, Chevrolet changed the VIN format

If it is an early 80s the 10th digit of the VIN is the year.  A=1980, B=1981, C=1982, etc.
