and does a nursery practicioner make more or less money than a nursery assistant.

  1. sounds like someone having fun with titles!

    i think the previous answer makes more sense: it is all down to level of qualification and amount of money paid!

    the practitioner is the professional and so gets paid more.

    assistant = dogsbody!  does the work no-one else wants to for a fraction of the wages!


  2. i think the terms are used interchangably however the term practitioner does imply more professionalism and better qulifications so hope fully it would pay more although the only way to guarentee good pay in this field is to become an Early Years Professional by completing the EYPS as then the setting that employs you can download funding to increment your pay.

  4. A practitioner is usually more qualified than an assistant, and so makes more money. I think practitioners need NVQ Level 3 and assistants need Level 2.
