Can anyone tell me when a cobs birthday falls..or if it just depends on their actual birth date?

  1. Typically registies recongnize that all horses turn another year older on January 1st of the new year regardless of their birthdates.

    This is why so many breeders who compete in levels set by age breed to deliver so early in the year - to hopefully have an advantage of the most mature animal in a given age class.

    s*x, breed, size - usually none of these things changes the way age is determined.

    A Cob, a pony, a full size or draft - all are viewed the same.


  2. Usually horse birthdays are all on January 1. So if I have a foal born on May 18th 2008 he will be one year old on January 1 2009....

  3. i always went with actual date.
