It's actually called Gingerino. I had it years ago (late 90's) on a vacation in Toronto. I found it at Marcello's Market and Deli.

I buy it at Galati Brothers on Wilson at Keele and have seen recently in the FoodBasics on College near Dufferin in Little Italy, speciality store will have it, Marc Angelos or Fortino's too.
