Can anyone tell me where Prototype school is in the Navy Nuclear Program?

I know that they have Prototype school in Charleston and Ballston Spa. I'm just curious if you choose which one you go to, or if they're seperated by what rate you are. Or if it's seperated by Sub and Carrier?

You sort of have a choice and a lot of it has to do with your class standings, however, the NEEDS OF THE NAVY is what will dictate it.  Whether you are destined for a submarine or a carrier has no influence on it since that decision hasn't been made yet and won't until you pass prototype.  All ratings (it's not rates.... rates are different than ratings) go to all of the prototypes since it takes EM, ET, and MMs to operate all of the plants.
