  1. around St Michel, there are streets full of restaurants and you eat a meal for about 12 or 15 euros.

    Enjoy your trip.

  2. Head to the Rue Mouffetard in the 5th arrondissement at lunchtime. You can get quite good three course meals with wine for as little as 8-12 Euros. By eating your big meal of the day at lunch you'll get the best deals.

Most cafes in every part of town will have a daily lunch special offered on a chalkboard. Look for it. It is almost always good value for the money.

In the evening have a lighter meal purchased at any of the innumerable street vendors. A gyro or a chicken sandwich with fries and a coke will cost you under 10 euros.

At any time of the day look for the "menu" or "formula" meal that will offer limited choices but usually excellant prices.

For some particlarly good values try:

Crepes a Go go at 12 rue Soufflot (http://www.gogo.fr/crepes/) which has an all you can eat crepes night on Wednesdays for 18€.

Auberge Le Pot de Terre at 22, rue du Pot de Fer (http://www.lepotdeterre.com/index2.htm )

  3. mc donalds

  4. Go to supermarket and make your own sandwiches :)

With real french bread, french sausage, and french cheese.

Restaurants usually are expensive. I remember a simple ham and cheese sandwich in Gars Montparnasse, for 4€ !!!
