I try to find out, but the address they put in the website is only "Navan Road, D7" and another one said "beside McDonald's". Could anyone give me more clue for the exact location please? Is it possible to go there by dublin bus, what route? Thanks a million.

  1. Dedek, I think I know exactly where you want to go. Take the Bus Eirann from Central Station in Dublin to Navan. This takes just over one hour and should be € 9 (cheaper to get the round trip while you're at it, I think under € 13).  The set down is on Railway Street near Mercy Convent (but the pick-up for the return bus trip is at Market Square). Walk a block or so ahead on the same side of the road up to Brews Hill/Trimgate Street/Cannon Row (Beware of Navan, the streets seem to change names every two blocks or so....it can be VERY confusing.  This intersection has four street names as an example).

On the corner will be O'Flaherty's...a nice corner pub/restaurant with a red lacquered trim and a nice courtyard in the back (on Brews Hill?)....but I digress. This picture I found online will give you a hint and keep you on target:

Anyhow, go in, have a pint and ask directions.  Just kidding (not really, that’s how we found our B&B last year).  Take a right on Trimgate Street and left up Kennedy Road and it should be on the left side if I remember correctly.  Their web site:  http://www.welfare.ie/contact/index.html...

For a descent map of the city:  http://europe.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?...

Another site with the office’s information.

BTW, the McDonald’s is at 37 Trimgate St., right off of Kennedy Road.

Edit: Not bad for a guy from Los Angeles, eh?

  2. Can't find anything online to find out where exactly but my sense is that you have plenty of time to look ;-)
