  1. hemmingways!

  2. Dinner is easy.  You are within 2-3 blocks walk of some of the very best restaurants in San Francisco.  You can't go wrong with any of Slanted Door, One Market, Boulevard, Town Hall, Bong Su, Aqua, Kokkari, Perbacco - and many have counters where a single can be seated without a reservation.  If you are travelling on your own on business, you might especially enjoy the community table at Town Hall.

Breakfast - I would run over to the Market Hall at the Ferry Building and grab something casual.  There you would have a choice of delicious traditional mexican breakfast at Mijita, a yogurt parfait at Lulu, fresh breads and rolls out of the oven at Acme Bread Co, and other specialty items.  Or just walk around - since you are in the Financial District, there are tons of great little places like Specialty Bakery or Noah's Bagels selling takeout breakfasts to the commuters.

And if you get out for lunch in that neighborhood, don't miss the Long Life Noodle Co & Jook Joint.  Unique and memorable.

  3. What city?

Ask the concierge or at the front desk of the hotel for suggestions

  4. wander over to the ferry building  you will find something for everyone
