Can anyone tell me why every other religion only attacks Islam?

first of all that's not true, Ive seen many attack faiths other than Islam. but most do attack Islam specifically because it is seen as oppressive and intolerant, plus almost all terrorist attacks these days are claimed by Muslims, so u need to work on your P.R. yes that means no more gun waving, Amreeka cursing for a while...

Americans are very ignorant people when it comes to religion and other culture.  When Jews first came in USA, they were the most hated people in America. Don't you

know that.  Now off course they are so powerful that even President of usa, every Senator and Congressman  are fearful of Jews.  If any one says any word against Israel, he cannot get elected and his political career is ruined because all media like tv, cables, news paers, magazines are all in control of American jews.  Americans  are afraid of being accused of Anti-Semetic. Muslims don't  have any kind of power that is one thing and second Muslims are resisting occupation of their lands in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. Lots of Americans are getting killed and permanently

disabled in war.  So Americans never think why they occupy other countries  but when soldiers return with hands and feet missing,  then they hates Muslims.  Well because of occupations and killings of hundreds of thousands Muslims by US Army,  Americans are also the most hated people in Muslim world.  In fact Americans are hated by Europeans also.  They just don't  express that much being themselves Christians.

May be Muslims are being attacks by mostly Jews, Hindus and Christians beecause Islam is the only true religion, so it makes sense to  people of all religions and lots of them from a every religion are accepting Islam.  Christians, Jews, Hindus and Budhists.  They can't stop their own people from  conversion, so they hate and offend Muslims verablly in media and on this program of yahoo. Ramadhan.

I can only give you the perspective of a Christian.  Although I am not one who attacks any religion and I don't believe any one specific religion has a monopoly on God, I also follow my bible and it states that Jesus was the final messanger of God and that any who came after him and brought with him any word that taught opposite or against what Christ taught was a false prophet and brought false doctrine.  So for me I don't believe Muhammed was a prophet of God or that he brought the word of God, but that is still no reason for me ever to attack Islam.  I have met people from the 3 major Abrahamic religions and there are some in each group that bash the other two.  I consider that cowardly and consider that person to not have enough faith in their own religion if they must attack or bash another religion.

Edit:  After reading all the answers I can see that Muslims just don't get it, especially those ignorant enough to believe it is because we are jealous.  HAH!  what a laugh. Not one of them that answered this question should be a representative of Islam except for Gooner.  He is the only Muslim here who gave a comment that even makes sense.

This weekend, a Protestant Christian shot other Protestant Christians, because he thought the were "too liberal". Since beginning of time, Man has used religion to attack others who do not agree with them.

Christianity- a growing threat to their faith across the globe as christians have been converting by the flcok to islam, especially in the 3rd World. They also consider it disrespectful to call Jesus "just" a prophet. i agree with the answer given by supermodel. when people attack Islam it's because of lack of understanding and lack of open-mindedness to fix that misunderstanding. But it's also worthy to note that Islam is not the only religion that is attacked - Christianity gets a lot of slack from non-Christians aswell - i'm a Muslim and i can see that. Maybe they don't get it as bad as we do in the news and media but you talk to the non-Christian and non-Muslim people out there and they'll have as much to attack Christianity as they have to attack Islam. it's equally sad.

EDIT: by "attacking" a religion i mean "bashing" it. Discussing Islam with a non-Muslim in a logical and respectful manner is by no means an attack, rather it is perfectly fine as that way he/she will understand more about Islam.

Because people can't envision Muhammad ascending to heaven on a rock but they can envision Jesus turning water into wine. Because they can't see Muhammad uniting the tribes but they can see Moses parting the Red Sea. Because the Quran speaks about Jesus talking as a baby but this isn't in our own Bible, when Christianity came first.

I've never doubted Islam, in fact, sites like answering-islam, faithfreedom, answering-muslims, jihad watch etc made my iman stronger because I found out the sources they used were VERY faulty and these people weren't up for a proper debate.
